Fried rice is easy to make and quick recipe. In which the leftover or fresh rice is fried with vegetables and spices in the morning or afternoon. It tastes good and it will prevent your food from wasting also.

You can add vegetables like cabbage and carrots and you can also add eggs to this recipe. Mostly the veg families avoid eggs that’s ok. If you want you can add eggs in fried rice.

  • Cooked white rice 2 Cups
  • Vegetable or canola oil 2 tablespoons
  • Chopped 1 onion
  • 1 carrot (cut into small pieces)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Soya sauce 1 teaspoon
  • Toasted sesame oil 1 teaspoon
  • Ground white pepper and kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 scallions (thinly sliced)


  1. To make fried rice, take the leftover rice or fresh rice in one bowl and crush it.
  2. Now take one non-stick pan, put it on medium flame gas add in it 1/2 tablespoon oil. Wait till the oil gets heated.
  3. After that add half of the leftover or fresh rice in the pan and cook it well. Cook it until the rice color becomes pale brown. Do it for 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. And do this again for 1/2 tablespoon oil and leftover half rice.
  5. Now add full rice to the pan and make one hole or space in the middle by spreading the rice at the corner of the pan.
  6. Add 1/2 tablespoon oil to that space, after the oil gets heated. Add chopped onion, scallions, carrot, and garlic. Cook it well and keep stirring.
  7. Cook the all for 1 to 2 minutes at medium flame only. After 1 to 2 minutes add soya sauce and sesame oil in it and toss the whole mixture.
  8. Add salt as per taste and mix it well. Now take all the mixture on one side and put 1/2 tablespoon oil on different sides.
  9. Now take an egg and break it from the middle part of the egg. Wait till the egg gets cooked.
  10. Now after the egg gets cooked add the frozen peas in it and continue to mix it. Your fried rice is now ready, You can eat it.

Pro tips:

Selecting the rice: selecting the best rice for your fried rice is very tough. There are three types of rice you will have 1. Fresh rice, 2. Rice made 1 hour ago and 3. Rice was made 12 hours ago. You can use any rice of that. But we suggest using the 12 hours one. Because it will get some extra taste.

Adding vegetables: Vegetables are very important for making fried rice. Use fresh and all types of vegetables in fried rice. Don’t use the vegetables in large excess. Use the vegetables in the same quantity.

Frying the vegetables and egg: to make the fried rice more tastier. You have to put in some effort. You should have the skill of taking side the rice and cooking veggies at the second corner.

Scallions (thin sliced): 2
1. Take leftover or fresh rice in a bowl and crush it.
2. Heat 1/2 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan over medium flame.
3. Add half of the rice and cook until it turns pale brown (3-4 minutes).
4. Repeat with the remaining half of the rice and oil.
5. Combine all rice in the pan, creating a space in the middle.
6. Add 1/2 tablespoon oil to the space and sauté onion, scallions, carrot, and garlic.
7. Cook for 1-2 minutes over medium flame.
8. Add soya sauce, sesame oil, and salt. Toss the mixture.
9. Move the mixture to one side and add 1/2 tablespoon oil to the other side.
10. Crack and cook the egg.
11. Add frozen peas and continue to mix.
12. Your fried rice is ready to be enjoyed!
