Kandi Pedha - Marathi Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500-gram Khava or Mawa
  • Half a tablespoon of Cardamom powder
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions:

  1. Take a Nonstick pan and put it on gas at medium flame, Add khava or mawa to it.
  2. Fry it for 3 to 4 minutes until the khava or mawa melts and you will get the smell.
  3. Check that the khava will not fry for a longer time. When you will understand the khava is getting melts and begins releasing ghee just add sugar to it.
  4. Now mix it well for 8 to 10 minutes at a medium flame of gas. Stir the full mixture continuously till it becomes like dough.
  5. To check the mixture take a small portion in a spoon, and check it.
  6. If the mixture is made like dough then the mixture is ready to make the pedha.
  7. Now turn off the gas and once again mix it well.
  8. When you are mixing add cardamom powder in it and mix it well.
  9. Stir again for 8 to 10 minutes after turning off the gas and adding the cardamom powder to it.
  10. Now Take the whole mixture out from the pan and put it on one dish and spread it fully.
  11. Wait for the mixture to cool down fully. If you want the perfect texture for your kandi pedha then wait for one night and put it side.
  12. If you want the peda now, There is no problem with that. Make the roll of mixture and make pedha like structure from it,
