Add cardamom powder, saffron strands, and chopped nuts (like almonds and pistachios) for flavor.

Continue simmering the mixture on low heat, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to a creamy consistency.

Once the Basundi reaches the desired consistency, let it cool to room temperature.

Serve chilled, garnished with more chopped nuts and a sprinkle of saffron, if desired.
