Soak split yellow moong dal for a few hours, then grind it into a coarse paste.

Heat ghee in a pan and fry spoonfuls of the moong dal paste until golden brown and crisp.

In a separate pan, make a sugar syrup of one-string consistency, adding saffron and cardamom for flavor.

Remove fried badas from ghee and soak them in the warm sugar syrup.

Allow badas to absorb the sweetness of the syrup for a while.

Take soaked badas out of the syrup and arrange them on a plate.

Garnish with chopped nuts and serve this decadent Makhan Bada dessert.
