Chop the larger dried fruits like apricots and figs into smaller pieces if needed.

In a pan, melt a tablespoon of ghee over medium heat.

Sprinkle a pinch of ground cardamom and a few saffron strands for fragrance and flavor.

Add sugar or honey to the pan, Mix until the sweetener dissolves and coats the fruits and nuts.

Add a handful of desiccated coconut to the mixture. This adds texture and complements the flavors.

Once everything is mixed well, remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool down to room temperature.

Once cooled, your Shufta is ready to be served as a delightful dessert or treat during special occasions.
